Anyone that knows me well can vouch that I can run in heels, so when I was invited to attend a #walkinginstilettos workshop, I was intrigued enough to go. I went along with no expectations and not only was I pleasantly surprised, but also learned quite a bit.
Chyna Whyne greeted me at the Corinthia Palace and we talked a bit about shoes, posture and back pain. I confessed my shoes are getting lower and wearing my beloved brogues gives me lower back pain and she explained a bit about the Alexander technique and what the session would involve.
I’m not going to give it all away – the next workshops are in November 17th – 24th and then December 4th & 5th. But I highly recommend you book.
I walked away, correction, floated away, and felt way more confident walking through a lobby full of strangers when I would usually wish I was invisible and only make eye contact with the floor…..
It doesn’t hurt, the practitioner lays their hands on your clothed body and whilst I’m not quite sure what happens, there we times when Chyna’s hands were hotter than other and toward the end of the session, were cool.
We did some seating standing practice, foot exercises, some practice walks and took it up a level to #swagger10 ! Seeing the before and after pictures and the video, I believe that the 3 hours I spent are a worthwhile investment.
