Winter has really tested my skin this year (and I’ve been brutal at keeping up my skin care routine lately) but I blame the cold weather!
Wet, windy, damp days on top of too much tea and coffee have led to a very dehydrated me and I think I speak for a lot of souls around this time, right?
I can always tell my skin is in need of major TLC when my makeup doesn’t sit well not matter what I do. These three products, all by The Body Shop have been helping my skin get back to normal the last few weeks.
1. Chinese Ginseng & Rice – clarifying polishing powder wash
This is a powder textured mild exfoliant which leaves the skin well cleansed, polished and evens the look of your skin resulting in a gorgeous helathy glow. I am really loving this and highly rate the product. It really contends with the likes of the dermalogica daily microfoliant.
Make a paste on damp hands and using circular motions, rub all over the face (avoiding eyes) for a about a minute, then rinse away and reveal!
Hemp – hard working hand protector
It’s thick, it’s creamy and smells rather… lets just say earthy!
My hands are in bits right now and this is sorting the dryness out and feels lovely. Its something you have to make a habit of using at least once a day. My husband has also been using it after work and he finds it hard to find something that works on his hands. A big tube is great value and a little will go a long way.
Vitamin E – Intense cream for dry skin
This feels like I’m instantly giving my skin a drink and takes away the tight feeling after washing my face. I have been using it daily after the exfolient and it has really helped put moisture back in to my face. It is a lovely whipped consistency which feels and smells luxurious when applied.
Over all, top marks for these three skin savers and the best bit is, they don’t break the bank, all coming in less than €15 each.
Just need to get them 2 litres of water in…. easier said than done
